London will be the first location in the UK to have a 100% meat-free Vegan Butcher. The capital is a hot-spot for vegan cafes and restaurants, so the launch of this UK first was destined to be located there too.
Already popular, Rudy’s Vegan Diner in Camden, is taking the next big steps and opening a new meat-free ‘meat shop' in Islington. The Diners amazing DIY kits launched earlier this year to reach those who are unable to go out to eat at the moment and keep vegan fiends stocked up with their delicious menu specials to make at home, the food is just too hard to resist.
The Diner opened in 2017 by Matthew and Ruth (who was nicknamed Rudy by her dad) and has been growing ever since, up to the present day, where they will now be seen as revolutionaries in the food industry for creating this historic moment. They joined the movement towards a more sustainable and cruelty-free way of eating and if anyone was going to be the first to do this it was bound to be this punky brand.
The meat alternatives are so convincing and the shop taking on the look of a real butcher. We reckon they will see a lot of meat eaters dropping by to give it a try. Expect produce such as homemade faux pastrami, burgers and pulled pork all available at no sacrifice on flavour. Made from soy and seitan and with a meat-like texture, it is pretty amazing to look at as well as taste.
Obviously, it wouldn’t be a launch party without a freebie, so they're giving away a free pack of baycon to the first 200 visitors through their doors and as an extra gift to any orders made online worldwide on the launch day.
The launch will take place on World Vegan Day, November 1st, and what better way to celebrate than popping by to this UK-first, permanent vegan butcher experience. All products are made entirely plant based, with all of the usual meat substitutes in one place for you to stock up for your weekly meals.
