There are so many different things you can make that can have a significantly positive effect on how you feel for the rest of the day ahead, whether you prefer something light, on the go or really want to indulge, breakfast is the time to treat yourself.

Cooked


There are so many varieties on the cooked breakfast, the full English is definitely a staple dish us Brits should be proud of but if you haven't tried the Turkish one then you will be in for a surprise. By swapping out the components for Turkish flavours such as the sausage, just wow we didn't know it could get any better!



What You Will Need...


1. Free-range eggs

2. @colive.oil Cypriot olive oil

3. Sourdough bread

4. Padron peppers

5. @iowtomatoes Tomatoes

6. Turkish sucuk sausage






 

Smoothie Bowls


The ultimate insta-worthy breakfast, just look at how pretty they are and they taste just as good as they look! Create your own piece of art on top with seeds, nuts and fruits and enjoy.




What You Will Need...

1. Half a cup raspberries

2. @theproteinworks diet vegan vanilla protein

3. One banana

4. Oat milk

5. @pipandnut almond coconut butter







 

Pancakes


The best holiday of the year is just around the corner, yes that’s right pancake day! Whilst you can most definitely expect a blog release all about the lovely delights, if you want to practice your flipping skills before the big day then why not try out this delicious recipe in preparation.



What You Will Need...


1. One banana

2. Self-raising flour

3. One large egg

4. 40ml milk

5. One tsp maple syrup

6. 20g chocolate chips

7. 15g pecan nuts



 

Toast


The classic toast option. If we go out for breakfast this is usually the sort of thing we would order to make us feel fancy, but if you have the time it's super easy to get creative at home by adding something sweet or savoury on top of sourdough such as garlic mushroom and avo, yum!



What You Will Need...


1. 250/300gr of chestnut mushrooms

2. 1 clove of garlic -crushed

3. 1 tablespoon of olive oil

4. a generous splash of tamari sauce

5. 2 tablespoons of thyme leaves

6. a sprinkle of black pepper

7. 1 ripe avocado

8. the juice of 1/2 lemon

9. a pinch of sea salt or pink Himalayan salt

10. 2 slices of bread of your choice


 

Granola Bars


The on-the-go snack. If you like to spend the extra minutes in bed rather than up preparing breakfast before you start the day then this is for you. Prepare the night before and wake up to a ready-made treat.



What You Will Need...


1. 200g oats

2. 25g rice crispies

3. drizzle of vegetable oil

4. 150g chopped nuts - of any kind!

5. 50g seeds (I used pumpkin and sunflower)

6. 40g of dried fruit, I used the fruit that just came in the packet with the nuts

7. 150g honey

8. 40g unsalted butter

9. 1/2 tsp cinnamon

10. 50g white chocolate


 

Calzone


You've heard of a chocolate pizza right? So if you think calzone is only a savoury meal, then allow us to prove you wrong. This calzone has been filled with chocolate and caramel sauce topped with bananas, this recipe is at the top of our indulging breakfasts, incredible!



What You Will Need...


1.50g Flour (I used white Spelt)⁣⁣

2. 20ml of Water⁣⁣

3. Pinch salt⁣

4. 1/2 a Banana⁣⁣

5. 1 tbsp eanut Butter⁣⁣

6. 1 tbsp choccy spread of choice⁣⁣

7. @locco_co_uk salted caramel⁣⁣ sauce

8. 5g Cacao nibs (optional)⁣⁣




 

Waffles


"We can stay up late, swapping manly stories, and in the morning… I'm making waffles!". Waffles are usually made with plain batter and topped with treats of your choice but how about trying these chocolate waffles, mm mmm!



What You Will Need...


1. 50g buckwheat flour⁣

2. 50g teff flour⁣

3. 2 Tbs cacao powder⁣

4. 2 Tbs ground flaxseed⁣

5. 1/2 tsp baking powder⁣

6. 1/2 tsp baking soda⁣

7. 150g plant milk⁣

8. 1 mashed banana⁣

9. 1 Tbs apple cider vinegar⁣

10. 1 Tbs melted coconut oil⁣

11. Vanilla drops to sweeten ⁣


 

Pastries


Oui Oui! Pastries remind us of holidays to European cities sitting outside the front of a cute cafe and taking in the atmosphere of the street. We could eat a chocolate Croissant for breakfast every day but this pastry braid sounds soo good and we will definitely be giving it a try!



What You Will Need...

1. 2 and 1/4 teaspoon yeast

2. 120ml whole milk

3. 1 large egg

4. 50g granulated sugar

5. 1 teaspoon salt

6. 205g unsalted butter

7. 315g all-purpose flour

8. 224g full-fat cream cheese

9. 1 large egg yolk

10. 67g granulated sugar

11. 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

12. 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

14. 125g blueberries

15. 1 large egg

16. 30ml whole milk

17. 60g confectioners’ sugar

18. 15ml milk

19. 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract


Or for equally as much fun you can try Jus-Rol products such as the Croissants or Pain Au Chocolat

 

Smoothies


Mmm mm, surprisingly filling and soo good for you. The smoothie combines your favourite fruits and veg blended into a delicious drink. You can find some amazing smoothie recipes to revitalise you this month in our blog January Smoothies!




What You Will Need...

1. 1 banana 🍌⁣

2. 1 orange 🍊⁣

3. 2 kiwis 🥝⁣

4. 1/2 cup raspberries & strawbs 🍓 ⁣

5. 1 tbsp @naturya chia seeds⁣

6. 2 tsp @naturya hemp powder ⁣

7. 1 scoop vegan vanilla protein @freesoulsistas

8. 1 cup @plenishdrinks coconut milk
