The weather has gotten a little chilly over the past few days but the date nights and catch-ups with our close friends and family (when permitted of course) should still continue! Every restaurant is absolutely doing their utmost and in some cases exceeding standard precautions to ensure your experience is as safe and enjoyable as possible.


The Lifestyle Guide has a few cosy, hidden gems throughout London that we'd LOVE you to try or revisit over the Winter to support the hospitality industry.

In the heart of Mayfair, you will find the red doors taking you into the gorgeous Park Chinois. This luxurious hideaway features Chinese cuisine, delicious cocktails and enchanting entertainment. On the ground floor, there is the elegant dining room, Salon de Chine where you are served state-of-the-art Chinese. Or if you follow the spiral staircase down you will enter Club Chinois. Here you won’t just be served dinner but be treated to dance and entertainment!

Upon entering, head down the stairs to reveal the beautiful underground Japanese restaurant. Served here is the best Teppanyaki London has seen, every visit is an immersive experience with chefs performing and preparing food in front of you! Not only is there outstanding food, but an exciting Japanese signature cocktail menu to choose from too.

Hidden behind a discreet entrance at 10 Dover Street you will find this gem. There is a gorgeous setting, with tunnel booths for large groups! Head Chef Mark Morrans has designed the menu to be indulging and perfect for sharing. The Mnky Lnge - Lounge and Bar is located on the ground for and is the perfect place to try out their experimental or classic cocktails made by award winning mixologists.

Gloria is a little corner of Italy across two floors, open for lunch, dinner and brunch on weekends! Described as lush by day and funky by night, this restaurant has its own playlists and a really cosy vibe downstairs. This menu mixes Italian classics with contemporary twists on the cuisine, some delicious menu options are the oozing pesto heart burrata to the Neapolitan pizza made in a Marana oven to homemade gelato, everything is fresh on the menu.

Located in Covent Garden this steak house is based in a converted brewery, this basement is buzzing with atmosphere and low lighting shows off its original features such as the cast iron columns and arched brick ceilings. This opened in 2010 and is the flagship of the Hawksmoor! You can’t go wrong with the food, specialising in high-end steak the seafood is not to be ignored! This restaurant is perfect for pre and post theatre meals too.

This cosy restaurant is a favourite amongst locals in Kensington was established in 1964 so is one of the oldest British restaurants in London serving traditional food in this quaint spot. Full of trinkets, wooden furniture, wicker baskets and dripping candles it certainly has character! Featuring their set menu or Sunday lunch this is not one to be missed if craving comfort food, from roast rump of lamb to apple pie, you won’t be leaving hungry!

Opened by Michelin starred Chef Jason Atherton and Chef Patron Paul, this experienced and knowledgeable teams passion is to hand deliver a memorable Michelin experience. Set in a comfortable and relaxed setting with dim lighting this restaurant is set across 3 floors with the bar named The Blind Pig on the first floor. The focus on British grown seasonal produce, featured on the menu you will find a list of produce and how many miles away from your table it was farmed, an amazing touch!

Temper is a vibrant smokehouse with vibrant fire pits and a huge open kitchen in the centre of the restaurant where you can watch the chefs butcher, prepare and cook your food! A big unique point to this restaurant is that they don’t use any industrial farming and all meat is sourced from small UK farms, which not only helps sustainability but they believe means a better flavour for your meal!
