Let's Get Our Hot Chocolate On!

"It's always been said that Blake Lively is a chocoholic, but we didn't realize that her obsession carries over into the breakfast hours, too. Apparently, the actress wakes up to a mug of hot cocoa on the regular. "I can't start my day without a cup of hot milk chocolate … it's good for my morale," she said. That's one way to have a sweet morning......"

Having recently made the annual transition from the iced latte to the hot beverage, it's a clear indication that Summer is officially over. It is in this spirit and because we all need a little more sweetness in our lives that we bring you some of our favourite brands that deliver to your home.

When it comes to hot chocolate it’s all about the atmosphere; a roaring fire (or the heating on), cosy PJs, cold weather......so here we go! TOP Guide for the ultimate hot chocolate Feng Shui.

This brand has recently piqued our interest, not only for producing plastic free teabags (LOVE, yes, its a thing!) but for their amazing hot chocolate recipes. They are bringing out the big guns with a humongous collection of syrups including Monin which pairs well with the Swiss Coca.

If you are a fan of this chain (and let’s face it, who isn’t) then you can bring their unique range of cacao tastes home in a variety of flavours. Purchase as a one off treat or sign up to a monthly subscription. This company is a great ‘drink at there's’ option too, with its chocolate terrace cafe, Rabot 1745 in Borough Market. On my visit, I opted for the rich and moody 100% dark hot chocolate. With the cafe’s view of the market, your drink will come with a bustling side order of people watching, whilst still providing a cosy sanctuary from the crowds.

Possibly one of the most luxurious of all the powdered hot chocolates is the Whittards range with a kaleidoscopic spectrum of flavours including Rhubarb and Custard, Turkish delight, and almost everything in between.

22 time winner of the ‘Great Taste’ awards which is pretty impressive!

This is a family run company based in the Northamptonshire countryside.

They source as many ingredients locally as they can including their flour, butter and sugar.

This kit comes with a mason jar, gingerbread man for dipping, marshmallows and an environmentally friendly wooden teaspoon. It doesn’t get more wholesome than that.

Pip, self-proclaimed authentic hot chocolate provider brings us his excitingly named, hot chocolate ‘coins’ to dip and swirl into hot milk.

The company specialises in bringing REAL hot chocolate to your doorstep boasting award winning delights (2018 and 2019 Food & Drink Award for Best Luxury Hot Chocolate Retailer).

There is something for everyone as Pip’s product range caters for diabetic, vegan, gluten, keto, coeliac and nut-free customers.

Shopping here means buying into an impressive ethos: plastic free, low sugar, reduced preservatives, artificial flavours plus minimal food miles and farmers for fair trade. LOVE!

Made in London, this vegan dark hot chocolate set comes with its very own Melt branded mug. Great for a gift! or keep it yourself.

The Fortnum & Mason brand is known for its pure decadence. Their high expectations of themselves are hard to beat across all of their products, therefore you already know that this is going to be delicious without it even touching your lips yet.

You're right, The Ultimate Hot Chocolate from our friends at F&M really is as good as it states, its pure luxury in a mug.
